Lawyers’ Money

Our adviser selection standard

The checks we require before making an introduction.

This page describes our selection standard. It is not an endorsement of an unnamed adviser and does not mean that any firm is suitable for your personal circumstances.

Before an introduction

  • Check the receiving firm’s current status and relevant permissions on the FCA Register.
  • Confirm the adviser’s role, qualifications and relevant experience with senior lawyers.
  • Clarify whether the relevant advice is independent or restricted.
  • Review the proposed service, fees, client criteria, capacity and meeting arrangements.
  • Identify the firm’s privacy notice, complaints route and any introduction payment.

Your decision

We identify the proposed firm before asking you to agree to any onward sharing. You can review the information, ask questions or decline. Regulatory status does not guarantee an outcome or establish personal suitability.
